How I treat

Individual psychotherapy is my primary treatment service. I help you get into action and solution focused to get past being stuck in the problem. I like to emphasize and introduce my clients to concepts and philosophies for building lifelong wellness patterns. I teach useable coping skills and techniques, things you can take home and practice outside of my office. I will assist you in challenging negative thinking patterns and behaviors that no longer are beneficial for a happy and joyous life.

I also work with couples and families providing an active and empathic approach to addressing how families can heal from the effects of dysfunctional communication styles or the impact of a member suffering with an eating disorder, depression, anxiety, loss and/or drug or alcohol problem.

Support groups can also be a powerful, insightful experience to be with others, like yourself, who are healing as well. I facilitate my own groups at my office as well as can refer to other groups that can be added to your treatment plan.
